The browser may also remember small things on your own device, such as whether you've seen the celebration on the “You're in” page. That never leaves your device.
Counting visits without cookies
To see which pages are useful and where visitors come from, we count page views ourselves. We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any advertising trackers, and nothing is stored in your browser for this. Each visit is counted with a code made from your IP address and browser, mixed with a random value we delete every night, so we can't work out who you are or follow you from one day to the next.
Controlling cookies
Because these cookies are needed for the site to work, they don't need your consent under UK law. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but you won't be able to log in or check out without them.
